Who we are

Our website address is raisedtoiletseat.irish. Toilet Seat Company Ireland is a trading name of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, which decides how the personal data collected through this website is used. That makes it the controller of that data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our corporate address is Suite 44, 47 Moo 1, T. Nawoong, Meaung, Phetchaburi 76000, Thailand. Our Ireland administration office is at Iveagh Court, Block D, Harcourt Rd, Dublin D02, Ireland. For any privacy question, email theteam@customersupport.care.

We handle personal data in line with the GDPR and the Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018.

What we collect

When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, the items you order and any delivery notes you add. Card and PayPal payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal on their own secure pages. We do not see or store your full card number.

When you contact us by email, through the contact form or through the chat window on this site, we collect your name, your contact details, what you write to us and any photos you attach.

If you accept analytics and advertising cookies, Google collects information about how you use the site, such as the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, and whether you arrived from one of our ads. Your basket is kept in your own browser so it is still there when you come back.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your order details to take payment, deliver your order, send order and tracking emails, handle cancellations, returns and complaints, and answer your questions. This is necessary to carry out our contract with you.

We keep order and payment records to meet our tax, accounting and consumer law duties. This is necessary to comply with the law.

We use enquiry details, and limited technical data, to reply to you, keep the site secure and prevent fraud. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in running the shop safely and helping our customers.

We use analytics and advertising cookies only if you agree to them. You can withdraw that consent at any time using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

Who we share it with

We only share what each provider needs to do its job for us:

• Stripe and PayPal, to take payments.
• Resend, to send order emails and to pass contact form messages to our team.
• Vercel, which hosts this website.
• Supabase, which stores our order records.
• Google Analytics and Google Ads, to measure how the site and our ads perform, if you accept those cookies.
• IntellextAI, which provides the chat window on this site.
• The warehouses and couriers that pack and deliver your order.

We may also share information where the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.

Sending data outside the European Economic Area

Our company is based in Thailand, and several of our providers are based in the United States and elsewhere. This means your personal data is processed outside the European Economic Area. Where the GDPR requires safeguards for these transfers, we rely on the transfer terms our providers offer, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Ask us if you would like more information about them.

Cookies

We use essential storage to keep your basket and remember your cookie choice. Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies stay switched off until you accept them in our cookie banner. Our cookie policy explains each type and how to change your choice.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them to deliver your order, deal with returns and claims, and meet our tax and legal duties. We keep messages from contact forms, email and chat for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. After that, we delete them or make them anonymous.

Keeping it safe

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss and misuse. No website can be completely secure, so please contact us straight away if you think your data has been put at risk.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018 you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete
• ask us to delete your data
• ask us to restrict how we use your data
• object to us using your data on the basis of our legitimate interests
• ask for data you gave us in a format you can take to another provider
• withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To use any of these rights, email theteam@customersupport.care. We will reply within one month, which is the time the GDPR allows. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it, for example for tax or to deal with a legal claim.

Complaining to the Data Protection Commission

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's data protection regulator, at dataprotection.ie.

Our previous website: accounts, comments and embedded content

Our previous website offered customer accounts and a comment feature. When visitors left a comment, it recorded the details in the comment form, plus the visitor's IP address and browser details to help detect spam. Comments could be checked by an automated spam detection service. A scrambled version of the commenter's email address (a hash) could be sent to the Gravatar service to check for a profile picture. Gravatar's privacy policy is at automattic.com/privacy.

If you had an account or left a comment, you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold from those features, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We may keep some records where we must for administrative, legal or security reasons.

Pages on this site may include content embedded from other websites, such as videos. That content behaves as if you had visited the other website, which may collect data about you and use its own cookies under its own privacy terms.

If you send us photos, for example of a damaged item, please remove location data from the image first unless we need it to help you.

We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
